Me and my ex broke up two months ago. We were each others first loves and had only been going out three months. He never gave me a real reason for why he no longer wanted to be with me. Even though I see him often at school he no longer looks or talks to me. I know we arn't going to get back together, he has told me he no longer loves me and that "us" will never happen again over an e-mail more then a month ago. I just really want to know why he broke up with me. And I also want to know why he no longer talks to me. Is there anything wrong with asking these questions? I'm a little scared because I haven't talked to him in so long but I really need clouser.

My first love and I broke up similar to how you and your ex broke up. He wouldn't acknowledge I was a live, but that was a couple years ago. I honestly think he is hurting just as bad as you do, everything he is telling you-is a front to show you that "I'm better off without you" type deal, but its far from the truth. I would give it time, thats what I did. I had to know why my ex broke up with me, but I had to wait because we were both still very hurt by it. I think those are reasonable questions to ask but now isn't probably the time. Give it a few more months, or possibly years (like I did).

He broke up with you because in his e mail he said he "no longer loves you." What else do you need? He no longer talks to you because maybe he wants to make it absolutely clear that nothing will happen between you two again. Wait several months, then he'll probably just be your friend. Give it time to heal first and just let it go. He was very explicit.

i think that u hav every right to know why. if u dont have clouser than u cant move on in ur life. there is nothin wrong about asking those questions because u have a right to kno and its not like you want to get back together. there is no way that someone in love can just break up with someone for no reason and it would be driving me nuts too. i once went out with a guy and he broke up with me on the phone and he gave a veyr vague reason...i called him and i realized that he had dumped me cuz he was cheatin on me even though he said he loved me.....it helped me realize wat a dirtbag he was and that i was wasting my time tryin to figure out wat i did wrong. u need clouser or nothing is going to be ok

Ask him or you'll keep this active in your mind for a LONG TIME. He may not give you a good answer but it may help you to see him in a more realistic light. This guy dumped you and did not have the decency to talk to you then and he treats you cold now. You obviously do not see him for the a** that he is. So talk to him, if he treats you badly maybe that will finally be your closure.
