It's a peaceful religion. Just because a few people might not make it peaceful, and the news brainwashes you people it doesn't make it bad.

Western Media is very dangerous. They cater to rich and powerful and keep people in the USA and the world divided by spreading false information about great ideas or spreading only the bad news about every community
The right picture of lslam is conveyed in the Qur'an, which is exemplified by Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him. The reality is that it is not fair to judge a religion by the actions of its followers alone because there are good and bad followers in every religion. The correct thing to do is to judge a religion by its documented revelation from God and the prophet who brought that revelation.
I encourage Christians and other religions to learn about Islam from Muslim sources and The Basis Of The Muslim Belief and not rely on second hand information which in many cases is distorted or contains a deep seated anti Muslim agenda. This is indeed a more scholarly approach

These "clerics" are reading out of the same Qu'ran you are. And Islam teaches out of that book. And the Qu'ran states that Muslims are to kill all Jews, Christians, and non-Muslims. That is what it says, that is undisputable.
There are some Muslims who are not actually pulling the trigger or detonating the bombs, but they certainly do support the ones who do. And that makes them guilty by association.
Anyone with any sense whatsoever, who can read, will know immediately after reading the Qu'ran that Islam is not a "peaceful" religion. It is far from it. It has been the root cause of conflict in this world for centuries. That also, is indisputable.

Why does this question keep coming up. Are the answers actually evolving and getting better? more convincing? Seems like once a day or so every group gets in their "why does everybody hate {us}" question and then promptly proceeds to do nothing about the responses. ODDLY, I haven't seen this much from the Jews regardless of that Tom Lear song about "everybody hates the Jews" - maybe they're just used to it now.
The world doesn't hate Islam but a religion is not peaceful, people are peaceful. Not enough fairminded Muslims seem to be willing to stand up and protest their reputations being dragged through the mud by terrorists but they've got time to plan to push Israel into the sea or to protest cartoons. That about covers what I see, I'm sure others have some ideas.

First, I don't hate Islam.
Now, I think a lot of people have a bad image of Islam because of the actions of groups like Al Qaeda and Hezbollah and the government of Iran and other groups that claim to be followers of true Islam.
It is my belief that most Muslims are not like that.
However, it is rare to hear Muslims condemn terrorist actions by Muslim extremist groups. When Christians were carrying out terrorist acts in Ireland, other Christians were not shy about condemning their behavior.
In private, yes I have heard Muslims condemn terrorism by other Muslims, but not in public, with very few exceptions.
Many people interpret this silence as agreement with the terrorists. Others interpret it as fear of terrorists. The only way we can know for sure that most Muslims do not agree with terrorist methods, will be when many Muslims stand up and say so.

Well, personally I was alot happier here in the United States before 9/11 when I didn't have to hear every darn day about Muslims and Islam and terrorists, etc... Yes, I knew there was the Muslim religion, but I didn't have to have it crammed down my throat 24/7 and every day have to worry about some lunatic Islamic warrior bombing my or their own, or some other country. When you look at places like Iraq and other middle eastern countries where they are Islamic, you see just how barbaric they are! Just like with alot of things, one bad apple usually spoils the whole bunch.

well, no! the world hate Islam! It hates the Islamic Fundamentalists- u knw those who mix religion and politics and place the interest of their religion over that of others interests even in the eyes of law. It hates the people who believe in jehad- which means religious war, whereas no true religion preaches war, not even Islam. So be under the misconception.

Because Islam, like Christianity, calls a man to a higher set of standards and the sheep people don't like it. Not because we live by it or not, but because we would presume to assume a higher set of guidelines. It is kinda like working in the union. Slow down kid, you are making the rest of us look bad.

Because while not all Muslims are terrorists, these days, with the demise of the IRA, all terrorists are Muslim. It may not be fair, but when you constantly hear about planes bombed by "Muslim extremists", you tend to filter out the "extremist" part and just hear the "Muslim". Plus, like I said, with the demise of the IRA, that seems to be all there is on the terrorist landscape these days.

honestly I don't think the world hates Islam. I think there are a few in powerful positions who try to spread hatred and the bias media. Islam is a peaceful religion and if anyone will just wash their hands and read the Holy Quran they will see that islam is a beautiful way of life as well as a religion.... I am Muslim
