No definitely no! The Bible is the source of the words of God. The Christian faith is inseparable from the Bible. After each reading taken from the Bible in our Catholic Faith it always ends with the phrase"This is the Word of the Lord". So there is no reason for us to say that we can be a follower of Christ, yet do not believe in the Bible which contains the Living Word of God, yes the Living Word.

Its amazing how many of these answers show people "conforming" to something because they are told in a sense if they dont it is wrong and immoral. This belief started with the Roman leaders as a way for people to not question what was going on at that time.
REMEMBER Jesus did not write the Bible.
Fact# 2 Most of his followers writings are not in the bible and the ones that are we cannot prove who the authors were. The bible writings were then "edited" by Roman leaders and 28 or so books were selectively left out of the Bible.
Fact #3 You cannot find Jesus in a book or or by going to church (hipocrites attend church too!)
Jesus can only be found in your heart. This is where you find truth. Ask him to lead the way for you. So to answer your question: Of course you can have a relationship with Jesus.
Don't let anyone give you "terms" for this.
He never turned anyone away.
I know I will get thumbs down for this answer but what I state are the facts!

You ask if we can be a follower of Christ but yet dont believe in parts of the bible? Why then if you believe in Jesus not believe in his words. Also Jesus is God in human form, because God is pure he cannot come into this earth as a human because we have all sinned and are brought into this world with sin because of Adam and Eve it is in our blood. So your question dosent really make since so in other words no.

Yes, many have been declared saints of the Catholic Church who never touched a Bible. The Bible is not the sole infallible guide to Christian doctrine and practise. Sacred Scripture does not say that either explicitly or implicitly. In fact it says divine revelation is also transmitted through Sacred Tradition and the teaching authority of the Church Jesus founded - the Catholic Church.
Peace!

Your nonsense question is very impossible to happen. You can never be a follower of Jesus Christ, unless you believe on the teachings of Jesus Christ.
You can never be set apart by God with Jesus Christ.
Read and understand the bible so that you will not be ignorant about it and before asking question like that which you asked, be certain about it so that it will not put you in shame condition.,okay?

Sure! I think that the Bible is a set of metaphorical guidelines that lay the basic tenets of Christianity down rather than the hard and fast rules. You can make any case based on the scriptures, then turn around and debunk the exact same case based on other scriptures. It is a very contradictory work written by many people over thousands of years, I think that your way is the only intelligent way to take it.

For this, I do think we have to look at John 1:1-5
1In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2He was with God in the beginning.
3Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. 4In him was life, and that life was the light of men. 5The light shines in the darkness, but the darkness has not understood it.
Jesus is the Word of God. To truly understand Christ you must understand the New AND Old Testaments. The complete canon of Scripture is the Living Breathing Jesus.
Can you know who Jesus is from a historical standpoint? Sure, there were historians of his time and shortly after his death who wrote about him.
However, you cannot truly know and understand Him as the Son of God and as your Savior without a systematic theological growth process in your life. When you first become saved, your knowledge will be very limited, Paul talks about spiritual milk for spiritual babies, but as you grow, and God mature's you spiritually, you will come to understand the more complex theology of what you read, your spiritual solid food.
