"I don't care how holy somebody claims to be, if a person tells you it's My will that they kill someone, they're wrong. Got it? I don't care what religion you are, or who you think your enemy is, here it is one more time: No killing, in My name or anyone else's, ever again."

So, what do you think God ought to do about people who just want to harm others, for their own pleasure?
Is there some way you might suggest God ought to deal with murderers...did you know that there are actually people who kill for the thrill of it? What should God do with them? Rapists...rape, I think most people know by now, isn't really about sex, it is about power...what do you think God ought to do about these people?
Child molesters? Should God just sit still and say it's OK to rape and torture a little child? Or ought there to be some sort of penalty to pay for this crime?
That's just a small list, but you get the idea, I think.
I'm glad I'm not God....I would hate to have the responsibility for deciding what ought to be done about the pain and horror some people insist on inflicting upon others.

Because God never commanded anyone to kill anyone else before... right. Not that it should ever be done lightly. Remember that in the end Christ said he's going to come back to destroy all who are against him. Not give them flowers and a pony.

I'm sorry, but the only religious people that have killed in the recent past in the name of their god, were muslims (9-11). Who are you refering to as killing in GOD'S name?

I'd say that anyone who thinks that should reread the OT. Judges comes to mind. God commanded the Jews to purge the Moabites from the land. The Jews refused and thus began their troubles.

This is a wonderful happy thought and we all pray for world piece.

But in case you are unaware, God invented death.

Yeah, that is right, you only die because the Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away.

I would never suppose what God would say. I cannot even begin to think like God. He is perfect, he is the creator.

Our biggest problem is that we are always using our finite minds, our sinful perspective and trying to make God look bad because he doesn't think or act like "we would."

That's really dangerous. God, is God. He is perfect and all that he does is perfect.

I think God doesn't have anything to do with this world we created, everything about it is opposite of God, God is perfection, without death and all the other inconsistencies of this earth, Now if you want to talk of hell..... well !!

Not your God. My Goddesses and Gods maybe. But you have to admit, it's human nature to kill, especially when one deserves it. Though I would never do it, but if someone offered to kill my stepfather, I don't think I would hesitate.
