I've been dating for a while on singles websites - when a girl describes her physique as "average" what do you consider as average? most of the "average" ones that I met are about 220lbs - I don't call that average I call that large.

It really seems that people lie in online dating, these girls are large (5'3" and 200lbs) I do NOT consider that to be average.

hahahahahaahha good thing you didnt meet them in person bfore you saw a pic of them lol. damn man thats the average weight on that site? where are you picking these chicks up the singlebuffet chatroom? i feel bad for you. your lucky you have the computer. back in my day we just had the phone. i remember one day i arranged a meeting to see this girl for the first time. as i got to the place it turned out she was a fat chick, she asked me if i was the person on the phone and i said "nope, you got the wrong guy". average would be 120-125 pounds. 220....you should get 2 average women for that.

Depending on her height would depend on what average is. They can be 5' 3 and be 115 to 120 and that would be average, but if their 5'3 and 150 to 160 that would large. Most people are going to tell you on those sites that their smaller or cuter or more physique then they are so just keep that in mind.

I would call that large too.
The average woman is about 155 pounds and 5 foot 4 according to SizeUSA, a 2003 survey by the industry research group

Well, it really depends on how the girl sees herself. Alot of girls I know that are a little on the big side probably would say they are "average" because they like themselves the way they are and aren't ashamed of their bodies. I think the only girls that are going to call themselves "large" or "overweight" are those that are not happy with how they look, or that are insecure with themselves.
I consider myself thin [I'm 120lbs] and I'd probably consider "average" anywhere from about 130-200ish. It really depends on the person though. And again, if a girl says she's "average" and she looks "large" to you, that probably just means that she actually likes herself.

It depends on the height/weight proportion. If a girl is 6 feet tall, 170-180 pounds would qulify as an average built; if a girl is 5 feet tall, then 110 pounds would probably be an average built.

Well honey in all honesty the average woman in America is a size 14/16 depending on her height that is about 200-220 lbs.

That is large. Average would be about 150 pounds, that depends on the height though, so you have to take that into consideration. Avg. height would be about 5'3".

To me average is not too fat and not too skinny. You're right about someone 220 should be large, extra pounds, etc...not average I don't think. Unless, everyone she knows and everyone where she lives is that weight, then it would be average for her.

avg depends on the height and apperantly they r lying.........but avg in my case where im 5'10 is what iconsider my weight and im 155 lbs..........but i mean if u got a 5'3 person sayin the r avg and they weigh 155 thats not avg thats chuncky .......so yea depends on the height u cant set a weight if a woman is 6'5 like basketball players yea avg for them is probably 220
