i've noticed that any time i drink soda i feel a lot of dull throbbing on the right side of my kidney the same goes for if i add additional salt to any mean - does anyone know why this would be??

You don't suppose suffering out of your kidneys except you're within the final phases of renal failure. He both has a UTI or kidney stones. Given his age and well being it's surely a kidney stone. If it does make a decision to cross he'll be in plenty of suffering. If, earlier than that the suffering raises you it maybe a well suggestion to name an ambulance and allow the staff argue with him - they're expert to persuade persons like him. Go see a doctor;a gu or gi specialist. It could be gas,it could be muscle problem or an injury. Eating salt (sodium ) can harm your kidneys,but would not cause pain. You might not be drinking enough water. Be safe,see a doctor.
