sorry this question I have to leave to the pros. I don't drink alcohol beverages, however I never seen any Bud Light or Coors over here.

Yes. Most popular US brands are available in Thailand but can be rather pricey, depending upon where they are made. For example, a Bud might NOT necessarily be made in USA but locally at some licensed brewery. A bottle of Jack Daniels can cost about $40 and so on.
Depending upon how long you'll stay there and how many of you are traveling togather, it would be a good idea to buy some real US-made stuff at the duty free upon arrival in Bangkok or from your airport of origin. Alcohol import rules in Thailand are pretty liberal.

Yes......they have jack daniels, bacardi, tequila, all the hard liquor you would normally find in the states.
However, if you only drink beer like me you will be dissapointed. The only american beer i ever saw over there was budweiser, and it was directly imported from the US. It tasted skunky and it cost us 200bht ( $7 ) each.
As far as the local beers, Singha, Chang, Tiger, which are all asian beers, you will probably be dissapointed. They do not taste that great and they are 6% alcohol, I think Tiger is 6.5%. Heineken is one of the most common beers over there, it is 5%, and its what i drink most of the time, however it does not come close to american or canadian beers in my opinion

Why on earth would you want to drink American beer anyway it's really very insipid.
They sell Heineken, Tiger, Shingha, Chang and a few other Asian beers, which are quite good.
Of course Jim Beam, Jack Daniels, Southern Comfort etc are available everywhere.

Can't convince me that Thai-made beers taste any better than Bud Light - there's a lot of room for a good beer here. The one beer that is popular in the US that I see quite often is Corona (Mexican). American bourbon is here.
