Anyone out there who used this ancient Chinese wisdom in their day to day life/and or religion?

Timeless, I feel that way too, and historically it is, but it has become a religion too, just as Buddhism has, which also was originally a philosophy.

The thing about Eastern cultures, their philosophies and belief systems tend to evolve and they do not FEAR its evolution. Whether it be Buddhism, Taoism or Hinduism, it is the way of reality that all thing evolve and change, and true blue Buddhists and Taoists do not resist this change, but learn from it, adapt to it and get on with their lives.

Over in Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia and a couple of other countries all over South East Asia, Taoism and its philosophical and religious practices are still very very much a part of daily life.

But it is losing ground to western philosophies as well, Xenocentrism due to colonisation. Where once Filial Piety was the Top of the Crop way of life in the Chinese Lifestyle, and it was totally unthinkable to "answer back" one's parents, these days young chinese people deliberately shout back with hurtful words...

Evolution of society ( or Devolution ) and Taoism flows along with it, but still teaching its values... acceptence of these values is up to the individual and not enforced with brute threats and blackmail... Tao and Buddhist concepts, you accept, its for your good, you don't accept its also good for your own personal development. Either way, Life according to Tao and Buddhism is a path of constant learning to be in Harmony with Heaven, Earth and Humanity.

Taoism is an ancient Chinese philosophy. It is not a religion.
A paperback book, written by Osho, "A pathless path" talks about Taoism. Easy to understand, and practical to daily living.
Search Amazon to have a look into the book.

It's is my walk away. I always read from TAO when I leave Answers.

_The Way of Life_,

A man's work, however finished it seem,
Continues as long as he live;
A man, however perfect he seem,
Is needed as long as he live:
As long as truth appears falsity,
The seer is a fool.
The prophet is a dumb lout.
If you want to keep warm keep stirring about.
Keep still if you want to keep cool,
And in all the world one day no doubt
Your way shall be the rule.'

45, Lao Tzu, transl. Witter Bynner

Well said, Padma.

What is your purpose looking for them or trying to find out where they are? Do you have bad intentions against their personality?

Beware and be careful, if you find one of them.
