I have a mole on my shoulder I scratched it up and it got red but there was no blood just some redness and a little pain. It is still on my shoulder it just looks like a little red bump now. Is there a chance I could have skin cancer? What are some of the symptoms of skin cancer?

You should watch out for these changes:

Size – mole suddenly or continuously gets larger
Elevation – a mole that was flat or slightly elevated increases in height rapidly
Surrounding skin – skin around the mole becomes red or develops colored blemishes or swellings
Surface – a smooth mole develops scaliness, erosion, oozing, crusting, ulceration, bleeding
Sensation – there is itching, tenderness or pain.

You need to go to your doctor and tell him/her what happened and show them what it looks like, and not ask people online about it because this is a serious issue and it should only be addressed by a professional. Hopefully it isn't cancer but the only way your going to find out is to go to the doctor. I hope you have good luck with this and it turns out that it is nothing.

There is a distinct look to cancer moles, such as irregular edges, changes in size over time, color, etc. It is easy to find photos by doing an online search. Good luck.

Dont take advice from an internet forum seriously... health issues cannot be diagnosed from a computer screen.

Go to the doctor.

Skin cancer is serious - dont play around with your life.
