I also have curly hair and don't like to straighten it--curly hair is awesome!
I'll give you a few tips and products that are wonderful to use.

As far as what kind of Shampoo and Conditioner to use, I do not recommend 2in1. It leaves something to be desired to say the least. If you intend on using different products in your hair throughout the week, you need something to get all of that build-up from the products out of your hair. Redken has several lines of Shampoo and Conditioner that are great for Oily, Dry, Colored, Blonde, and Red hair. I highly recommend these. The best is AllSoft. Keeps dry brittle hair very smooth.

Now, as for wearing your hair curly. I know this doesn't sound very 'professional' but the best thing I've found for curly hair is a product that Wal-Mart carries, and it's called Dep 10 or Dep 11.
When geling my hair I always start with a small section at the bottom and pin the rest up. Put an ample amount in that section of hair and scrunch it up with the towel and then blow dry it. Let another section down, add gel, scrunch with the towel, and blow dry it. So on and so on. I blow dry completely because you get the wet dog look if you leave it wet and let it dry stuck to your head..not a nice look!
I hope this helps.
p.s. I do not recommend Curl.Life by Matrix... it stinks and leaves your hair weighed down really bad!

I have curly hair too, and I live in a pretty humid climate. A lot of people use mousse, but that never really helps me. What I do that works best, is use shampoo designed for curly hair (I have used Garnier Fructis and Pantene), a leave-in conditioner for curly hair (Garnier Fructis), then do a gel (usually something for curls that says extra hold). The gel I have liked best that doesn't leave my hair too stiff is Curl Booster by Fx. The products I use are just things I get at Wal-Mart or the grocery store, so they're not the expensive designer things. I always just let my hair air dry. If i need a boost in the evening before going somewhere, I spritz it with water and curl-boosting spray and scrunch. Hope that helps. :)

I have very frizzy, wavy hair. I hate my curls, and I smooth and starighten my hair every day. I have tried many products- these are the best ones I have tried:

John Frieda's Frizz Ease- I like the hair serum the best, but there is a whole ine of shampoo, conditioner, mousse, gel, etc. A bit pricey, but worth it.

Herbal Essences None of your Frizzness Shamppo, conditioner, and balm. Less expensive, works well.

When my hair is really frizzy, I like to put just a dab (tiny, tiny amount) of baby oil on my hands and smooth my hair down with it. It works really well. Don't use too much or your hair will be greasy.
I hope that helps.

There is a pantene conditioner for colored women out.It works great for all types of curly hair. When conditioning comb your hair with a wide bristle comb while the conditioner is still in your hair, then rinse. After you are finished towel dry your hair by scrunching your hair with the towel.Do not brush your hair it shold already be tangle free from brushing while conditioning. After drying you should use John Freidas anti frizz serum.Put some in the palm of your hand start with your roots then work your way down in a scrunching motion.I do not reccomend blow drying your hair as it only frizzes your hair by drying it out. also when towel drying do not completely dry leave it pretty damp. And remember not to brush it.Once you've completed all these steps you should look beautiful!!let it air dry the rest of the way.Its seems like a lot of steps buts its really quick.

We have the same hair!! I use Ojon products. I use their Nurturing shampoo and conditioner. After I wash my hair I wrap it up in a microfibre towel. Don't wring out your hair prior to wrapping it up. Then don't rub the towel through your hair, just squeeze gently to absorb the water. Then I use Ojon Animated Styling Cream. Then a diffuser to dry, just don't overdry. Don't brush of comb your hair after drying or this will break up the curl and cause the FRIZZ! I use Ojon Restorative Hair treatment a couple times a week. I apply it and leave it on overnight before washing my hair. You can buy Ojon online.

go to the health food store, get a bottle of aloe vera gel, not juice. it will be thick, clearish and a little bumpy. wash and condition your hair as usual, towel dry. pour some aloe vera gel into the hand, and squish out the lumps, distribute it through your hair. comb in through well, style as you would like, you can let it air dry then comb thru with your fingers or a wide tooth comb. this will calm the hair, make it very shiny and healthy looking without stickiness or odor. never brush hair while wet. this can be applied to dry hair as well, to tame it..
