dear friend ,
In the commercial terms : god is like a person who is having 1000000000.... +++ of years of experience. and we are the people who have max of 100 years of experience. so if you can pls belive him or forget the entity so called god , but never try to test or approach him. because it will result like 5 blinds who tested an elephant .(and the sixth bliend was kicked by the same elephent.) but pls understand that the power of your heart / will /mind is more powerfull then so called Krsna or Visnu. belive your self and respect the socity and don't do any thing beiond this .Then you will become powerfull , and automaticaly God will follow you. it means " God gave the power to the humanbeeings to compitate with him in the ethical way" ( and as for as as my concern so called "religious" is a meening less word )

Krishna is an incarnation of Vishnu. And to achieve either is a tedius and difficult path which demands you to leave your ego, win over yourself so that wants do not trouble you. Then you become attached to the almighty slowly and slowly but not surely that you will find Him for He is invisible and can be sensed everywhere and can be seen in everything, everybody which His creation. So why do you strive hard? There is no need for great penance for you are his creation.

Krishna himself was the ideal. In so many way, his was a poorna avatara. He led a life of happiness, in the midst of strife and toils. He whole heartedly engaged in the mundane affairs of the kings, without complaining. He like a true yogi, died a martyr for the cause of humanity. He accepted death in the hands of an ignorant hunter, with equal equanimity.

friend, His requests r never harsh, just we make it harsh. it is simply the reflection of our own attitude that gets reflected as that. God only wants LOVE n only love. thats enough, if u know u r making 100% effort, He will definitely appericiate it n will b with u at all times. get rid of unnecessary guilt n live with Faith that krishna or Vishnu is by ur side at all times

Krshna is Vishnu.

The ideal is always what is presented, but the Vedic injunctions also include the direction to avoid straining to follow anything.

I have a question, don't get me wrong, but do you really believe that a man with a head of an elephand, or a guy with blue skin, or another guy with ten arms really existed...?

That is the part of Hinduism that I do not understand, I understand however that all of those vivid images are a mere representation, not a fact.

Vishnu is Krishna and Krishna is Vishnu, the one Supreme Personality of Godhead in two different features.

Vishnu's postion is like that of a person's role as a judge in the court and Krishna's postion is like that of the judge's role in the house. When the the person is in the court as a judge his mood is formal, official and giving judgements, whereas at home he is informal, friendly, relaxed and social.

Lord Sri Krishna gives different options in the Bhakti-yoga, 12th chapter of Bhagavad gita.

Verse 8, "Just fix your mind upon Me, the Supreme Personality of Godhead, and engage all your intelligence in Me. Thus you will live in Me always, without a doubt."

If one cannot do that, then in the next verse Krishna gives the option of following the regulative principles of bhakti-yoga, by which one can develop a desire to attain Him.

If one cannot even do that, the next verse Krisna tells, 'Just try to work for Me, because by working for Me you will come to the perfect stage.

In the next verse (11), Lord Krishna says,
"If, however, you are unable to work in this consciousness of Me, then try to act giving up all results of your work and try to be self-situated."
Purport to above verse by, A.C.Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, Founder-Acharya of ISKCON
(International Society for Krishna Consciousness)
It may be that one is unable even to sympathize with the activities of Krishna consciousness because of social, familial or religious considerations or because of some other impediments. If one attaches himself directly to the activities of Krishna consciousness, there may be objections from family members, or so many other difficulties. For one who has such a problem, it is advised that he sacrifice the accumulated result of his activities to some good cause. Such procedures are described in the Vedic rules. There are many descriptions of sacrifices and special functions of punya, or special work in which the result of one's previous action may be applied. Thus one may gradually become elevated to the state of knowledge. It is also found that when one who is not even interested in the activities of Krishna consciousness gives charity to some hospital or some other social institution, he gives up the hard-earned results of his activities. That is also recommended here because by the practice of giving up the fruits of one's activities one is sure to purify his mind gradually, and in that purified stage of mind one becomes able to understand Krishna consciousness. Of course, Krishna consciousness is not dependent on any other experience, because Krishna consciousness itself can purify one's mind, but if there are impediments to accepting Krishna consciousness, one may try to give up the results of his actions. In that respect, social service, community service, national service, sacrifice for one's country, etc., may be accepted so that some day one may come to the stage of pure devotional service to the Supreme Lord. In Bhagavad-gita (18.46) we find it is stated, yatah pravrittir bhutanam: if one decides to sacrifice for the supreme cause, even if he does not know that the supreme cause is Krishna , he will come gradually to understand that Krishna is the supreme cause by the sacrificial method.

And in the last chapter 18.63), Lord Krishna tells, "Deliberate on this fully, and then do what you wish to do."
Srila Prabhupada, writes in the purport, . . . Here the words yathecchasi tathä kuru—"As you like, you may act"—indicate that God does not interfere with the little independence of the living entity.

Doesn't seem like it makes much difference how you approach a fictitious being.
