Once I turn 16 I'm planning on joining the canadian reserves and I can do basic either all at once in the summer or on weekends throughout the year. From past experience which would you say is easier? All at once or spread out?
Also, is reserve training any different than regular force training? I'm going in for musician if that matters.

Do it in the summer and do it all at once. You need to train and keep focused. You do it in bits and pieces, you may not be able to keep the body conditioned solely for weekends and may have to be recycled and then you will never get out of it, and never play the fiddle for Canadian Army.

All at once for sure.

Go to the canadian forces recruiting site - http://recruiting.forces.gc.ca - and send them an email to ask about the training differences

I'd do it all at once. It isn't "fun" so get it over with, you might dread going back, if you spread it out.

Do it a time of year when its cool and dry because you will be doing a lot of exercise and be outside a lot.

If you can spread it out do it! I was in the US military, so I can't compare, but we would have loved a break if we could have had one!

trust me, get it over with all at once, because if you take breaks, you're not going to want to go back, good luck
