1Peter 3:7 says: Likewise, ye husbands, dwell with them according to knowledge, giving honour unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life; that your prayers be not hindered. (KJV)From this it it obvious that a husbands relationship with his wife affects his relationship with God. His prayers may be "hindered" if he does not follow this mandate. Christian husbands and wives share both a fleshly and a spiritual relationship. As head of the family, the Christian husband models himself after Christ who assigns honor and dignity to those in subjection to him, namely the Christian congregation. (Ephesians 5:25)

Eph 5:22 Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord.
Eph 5:23 For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the savior of the body.
Eph 5:24 Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing.
Eph 5:25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;
Eph 5:26 That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,
Eph 5:27 That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.
Eph 5:28 So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself.
Eph 5:29 For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church:

If you believe in god then your actually believeing in yourself only because god is only a spirit, now (scriptures)= comic books should be funny and not be assigned to anyone. Anyway a family is husband and wife=two mature adults and one does'nt deligate orders or assignments, thats like being a slave without pay. I would suggest you show him this my answer here in America. He is American and not iraqi is'nt he.

Watchtower February 15, pages 13-17. We studied the article yesterday.
"YOU husbands, continue dwelling in like manner with them according to knowledge, assigning them honor as to a weaker vessel, the feminine one, since YOU are also heirs with them of the undeserved favor of life, in order for YOUR prayers not to be hindered. " -- 1 Peter 3:7
If a husband doesn't give honor to his wife, his prayers might not be listened by God.
"In this way husbands ought to be loving their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself." -- Ephesians 5:28
This means that a husband should treat his wife like he treats himself (with respect and love).

In the words of Paul: You can attain all the riches in the world, but if you don't have love, you have nothing.
Before the "Devil" broke up the happy harmony in the home, the parents had equal status.
What did the devil do? He took the power away from the woman in the domestic scene. That Thief!

I am not sure where but the Bible says that a man should love his wife even as Christ loves the Church. Sorry but it is just too late at night to look it up. Just read the New Testament.

My wife would beat the bejusus ought of me if I didn't. And as she did it, she might say, "The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding." PROVERBS 9:10.
