Could be several things. The only way to know for sure is to take your dog to the vet and get it checked out and treated as soon as possible.

there are a ton of things this could be.. ringworm, demodex or sarcoptic mange, or maybe just an irritated area. If you have a black light in your house then turn the lights off and shine the light on the spot, if it glows bright green then your pup has ringworm and you will need some antibacterial meds from the vet. Otherwise, you should take her in for a skin scrape so the vet can look under the microscope for any mange mites that may be present. This is important especially if you have kids, ringworm and sarcoptic mange can be passed from dog to human, and kids are more suseptible. Good luck!

I have a terrypoo and when i saved her she had a spot like that too and it can get pretty raw...but anyway the vet and the guy at the pet store said she was getting to much wheat in her diet so we cut out the dry food and i put antibiotic cream on her sore area and it was all better within 5 days.

There are a number of things it could be. Mange and bad skin being the top possibilities. Other possibilities include fungal infections( beginging with hair loss), fleas, and ticks.
Giver her a good long bath with a DOG SHAMPOO that will kill external parasites. (that is what mange, ticks and fleas are) and medicate with a cheap anti fungal cream that you can get at wal mart. If after a week to two weeks the problem still persists, she needs to see a vet.
Hope I helped.

Could be an allergy to a flea or bug bite, or it could be from the shirt. Your best bet is to ask a vet.
