I know that cocaine can damage your septum, but can heroin or any other drug do the same to your nose? I don't do drugs, i'm just courious. Serious answers please.

In contrast to the other posts, heroin would, and does, also cause irritation and necrosis of the nasal septum. There are many cases of this. And its not the only drug, any drug that is water soluble can be snorted as a means of administration. However there are a list of drugs that are very commonly snorted and of course, goes without saying, that these are very water soluble: Cocaine, ketamine, MDMA (ecstasy), amphetamine... vicodin, percocet ... ritalin. (you can see an obvious trend).
Some people used to argue with cocaine that it was the fact that the drug itself was a potent vasoconstrictor and so blood wasn't getting to the cells in the nose and so eventually they were necrosing - whether this is true and a significant factor is debatable but the effect is still there.

I can't say for certain that other drugs wouldn't do the same, but cocaine damages the septum specifically because of the chemistry of the drug.
Cocaine in powder form is usually Cocaine Hydrochloride. This is a salt. Just like table salt, when placed in water, Cocaine Hydrochloride separates into its ions: cocaine, which is absorbed by the mucous membranes, and hydrochloride, which reacts with water to form a dilute hydrochloric acid. This is what eats through the septum nasi.

N E Way, most any drug will do some damage if snorted. Dope will too.
It's more common to hear of serious damages from cocaine or speed because the users typically snort more and more of it and more frequently, whereas diesel would just put you out as you continue or you graduate to shooting it.
Don't let your curiosity get you into it though. And if you concerned about someone else, confront them.

I know that cocaine will eventally ruin your nose. But the sniffing of herion up your nose I haven't heard of this, but you and I both know that when you do something like this then something is going to get hurt and we know what that is in this case. The person using and the nose.

No not really and maybe depending on what it is cut with. Coke will eat your nose up but why sniff dope. If your gonna sniff a bag might as well skin pop it and if your gonna skin pop it might as well shoot it.
