Some individuals and Naturist clubs consider it essential for reasons of hygiene to sit on a towel whenever sitting on a chair, bench, or any other place where others might sit and they consider it very poor etiquette to do otherwise.

It's a social decorum practice to insure germs and bacteria aren't passed from person to person. When we go to nudist resort I keep our towels in a large sports bag and take them out when we reach our lounge chairs or seats in the bar and restaurant.

You should always have a towel. If you don't need it right then, just throw it over your shoulder. You may want to sit on the grass or on the beach, THEN, you would need a towel.

Sometimes sitting on a rough or hot surface can cause posterior problems, if you know what I mean. The towel is to keep you from burning or scratching up your buns.

You don't need to put the towel around you. Just carry it to sit on.

you must have a towel because you have to put it under you when you sit so that diseases can't be transmitted from the chairs people sit in. it's required at most nudist places.
just carry it from chair to chair if you move
