Take it an hour before bedtime, because it takes 60mins. to take effect. However, the therapeutic effect is anywhere from 1-3H. It should make you tired/drowsy- not sleepless. I would talk with your doctor and tell him the effect it's having on you, because it's a CNS depressant and should be doing the opposite for you. However, if it doesn't cause you to be sleepy or drowsy, I'd take it in the morning when you get up.

I am Clonazepam and have been for years. I am to take 4 a day, but have found that I can fair very well on 2. I take one in the morning and one in the evening. But when I took all four, one was at bedtime. It didn't cause me any problem with sleep.
Have you taken a look at what you eat, drink or do during the day. caffeine? sugar? too active just before bed? not enough physical activity earlier in the day? Take a close look at everything you eat and do and when you do it. Also, stress or just have too much on your mind? May have nothing to do with the meds.
If nothing else works, call the doctor.

Definately in the morning to noon. I am on that also. I take it first thing in the morning, whenever I wake up.
