I was gobsmacked watching Kessler, i thought he was a slugger with some boxing ability, but after watching that performance i realised he is an excellent boxer with slugging abilitys if needed he has convinced me from that performance that he is the man at Supermiddle and if Calzaghe thinks different he should step up to the plate and prove me wrong. As you say though Brent, Frank Warren wont even look at Kessler as his next opponent if this fight is going to happen a clean break between Warren and Calzaghe would need to happen. I hope and i truly think that Joe has the ambition to be known as the best around, well now is the time to prove it, this fight would be one of the most mouth watering bouts that boxing has to offer, i hope and pray it gets made.

I was very impressed with Kessler tonight and the next logical step for him is Joe Calzaghe if Calzaghe defeats Manfredo next month. It would be great to see Kessler and Calzaghe unify the titles and it would be an excellent fight. If Calzaghe knocks out Manfredo or decisions him very decisively like Kessler won tonight, there will be pressure on both of them to step up and fight one another. They're on a collision course and it's a fight that's inevitable if they both remain unbeaten because the public will demand it. Calzaghe may choose to fight a Jermain Taylor or a Winky Wright, the guys with the bigger names, but they'll be Middleweights moving up to fight him, and he has probably his greatest challenge right there in own division in Kessler. I hope they do get it on.

Kessler surly is a top world class fighter, and without question Calzaghe and kessler will have to meet head on to prove just who is the best super middleweight out there, and before people start saying that Calazage won't fight outside of the U.K, kessler has never fought anywhere but in Denmark, It seems Cazaghe won't fight in the U.S for whatever reason, so i think these two can get in on to fight each other, for me Cazaghe will school Manfredo Jnr on April 7th and won't have to much trouble winning a one sided points victory, so here's to Calzaghe v Kessler if it ever happens,

When Kessler steps into the ring with Calzaghe, Joe will prove you wrong. Kessler is a solid boxer who doesn't have what it takes to beat Joe.

I agree with you, Frank. Kessler indeed displayed great awesome boxing skills in his bout with Andrade. I think that Kessler vs. Calzaghe will be one of the biggest matchups in boxing right now. Both men are undefeated and they both have equal talent and almost equal experience. I think this bout should be made mandatory by the sanctioning bodies.
It would be extremely difficult to make a pick in this fight. I remember Calzaghe embarrassing me with his shutout of Jeff Lacy. It will be hard to pick against Calzaghe now. I think this fight would prove to be fairly entertaining.

This is the fight I'd like to see. I can't pick a winner. Joe Calzaghe was equally impressive in the last fight I saw him in. Perhaps they can meet on nuetral territory for a big pay day. Perhaps a supercard PPV I'd call "Champion of Champions" a co-main event with Jermaine Taylor taking on the winner of the Pavlic/Miranda fight. A good undercard match might be Antonio Tarver verse Glenn Johnson. This would be worth forking out $40-50 for. Marquez/ Barrera II perhaps as well? I am getting excited just thinking about it.

Calzaghe is a good technical boxer but he is not well known in the states and he won't fight someone who is as technical as kessler until he proves himself in the U.S. Even though he is taking fights they are against boxers who barely have experience fighting big names. Kessler doesn't have the experience neither but Kessler is a big technically skilled puncher and Joe is no fool to try and unify titles without a big pay date behind it.

Frank I know Joe's the man in England. I must say that if Joe decides to mix it up with Kessler, he'll get embarrassed, possibly knocked out. You can answer this better than I can Frank. Will Frankie have the balls to match his meal ticket against Kessler? Or is it going to take Fort Knox to get Frankie to grow the balls to do so? Thanks for the great question Frank. I'd really be interested in reading what you think. Peace Bro!
I really would like to see Calzaghe prove me wrong about what I just said in reference to mixing up with Kessler.

I think Calzaghe should move up to light heavy. Then Kessler would have the super-middle division to himself.

i beg to differ. kessler will never beat joe calzhage because he does not have the heart. he will not be able to take the barrage of punches from a much aggressive and much experienced joe. and why do you think hopkins ducked him?
