Brush her real good then giver her a bath with a high quality dog shampoo and conditioner. You put the conditioner on and rub it in good then rinse the dog. A lot more hair will come out that didn't come out with a brush.
I feed my dog a high quality dog food (California Natural) and it really made a difference in her coat. She only sheds seasonally now instead of throughout the year. I use Cindra Shampoo and Conditioner. You can order it here. It is amazing stuff!

You have 2 choices. You can have her shaved where there is anywhere from 1/16 of an inch to 1/8 of an inch left depending on which length you want and it will still shed, just little bitty hairs, or you can spend a lot of time brushing her and she won't shed as much for awhile. There are certain brushes that work better for certain dogs but for a long haired dogs I'd say a good slicker brush, and possibly a furminator which is 45 bucks, but it works. If it has hair like a lab, a rubber curry brush works great.

We have been giving our dog Pet Tabs Vitamins. It helped all through the winter. Now that Spring is here she is shedding some. Just getting rid of the extra hair that kept her warm during the winter. The Tabs are about 10.00 for a 60 day supply for her. She weights 70 lbs so needs a larger dose. We brush her daily and use a shedding blade when the shedding is bad.

Oh gosh, it's natural for most dogs to shed. Get a nice dog brush or see if she can stands for being vacuumed. Next time you are talking on the phone or some such, give her a good brushing. You have to do it many times a week. I think that effort is worth it.

your husband sounds like an ***! get rid of him. BUT you can take your dog to the groomer every two weeks and have them give your dog a puppy cut, that will cut down the shedding. Sorry you live in a relationship like that where he is the boss of you.

you can't stop shedding cause dogs need to do it....however you can decrease it....at PetCo.com they have vitamines that will reduce shedding...not to mention feeding your pet a high quality food will help...and if its not to cold have her groomed to a shorter coat....brush her offten and all this will reduce the shedding....

take her to the groomer. Don't shave if she is a husky, will grow back thicker. If you take her to the grooming they trim the undercoat, less hair to shed
