Everything in a McDonalds burger is essentially what it purports to be. It is ground beef, pickles ketchup, bun, et al... However, the food distributors use a technique called flash freezing, which keeps food fresh for delivery across the country.
This process eliminates most of the taste. Until several years ago, McDonalds cooked the food in animal fat to recreate what the food would have tasted like.
Public pressure forced them to switch to vegetable oil, and so they now use sophisticated chemical compounds to recreate the tastes and smells we associate with a burger. The chemicals are so accurate that they can make a piece of paper taste and smell like a mesquite-grilled chicken sandwich.
So, to answer your question, some really bland food, and some chemicals that taste like less-bland food.

well, actually there is a chicken patty, spicy grilled. then its purely safe for consumption and they use healthy chickens purely tested and certified and fit for human consumption. even the world health organization permits their chicken farm usage and practises of killing the chickens in halal manner, therefore muslims also can eat without any fear or religious doubts.
Then obviously with cheese or without cheese is our choice and for cheese they use the premium supermarket brands, healthier choices like what we get for our home use purposes, they use kraft brand, so we all know its safe and tested as well.
Then they use their own imported veggies, then the mayo and they give us some ketchups, garlic-chilli etc ... and then the fries and coke.
Fries, I recommend we shouldnt eat from there, as saw some weird video on youtube, that someone tested mc fries and some street shop fries and stored it in a transparent glass jar, air tight closed and kept it for a long period of time, and the other fries bought from street store has become decomposed whereas the mc fries just looked as fresh as it was when at the time of buying it. So imagining what it get stored up like that in our stomach after we eat it, then thinking about the digestion procedures, uuaawwaacchhkk ... feels like I wanna puke. Instead yeah, can choose wedges or those twister fries.
Then the coke, well mc has other normal fruit juices or healthy milk based drinks, can choose either those instead of these non health carbonated beverages, as heard that in countries like India, these coke and pepsi companies are not having proper content fit for drinking, they seem to have failed lab tests and it contains pesticides upto the unwanted level.
So I think its not the same in other parts of the world... but still quitting the carbonated beverages altogether is safe and good for our health. See when I was a kiddo, I also heard of another story that, once we die, our teeth all can be rotten, or our bones get powdered up due to the effects of getting hooked onto these carbonated soft drinks. I dont know whether its true or a myth, just sharing with you all down here.
So hope this serves your question.

The same thing as in every other burger. Theirs just has less meat. It used to have a soy/tofu filler, but now they just use all beef and make the patties smaller...I just hope they start making quarter pounders for 99 cents.

If you really knew what was really in them, no one would ever eat there again, and they would go out of business, I worked at a meat plant, and I used to grind up some of the the stuff that went into McDonald's hamburger, then it went into another grinder, and when it came out of that spout it looked like blood.

Two all beef patties, special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles, onions, on a sesame seed bun.
Sometimes if you are lucky you can get a tomato and mayo, or maybe ketchup and mustard.
