Me and my buddies are planning to go camping for our spring break but only have 4 days where we can fit it into our schedules. We are trying to find a place that we can have a lot of fun while not being crammed next to another campsite or being right next to other campers. We don't want a place with a ton of families and little kids because we'll probably be up late and would probably get in trouble/kicked out. So maybe a little more primitive, and not so commercial like the wisconsin dells. any ideas?? oh and our spring break is the 2nd week in april. thanks in advance for the help!! :)

I don't even know if these campsites will be open but Devils Lake is really nice and there is rock climbing there. It is also REALLY pretty.

Also, I've camped at Kohler-Andre. It is on Lake Michigan, (sand dunes) and about 20 of us got a group site, right on the beach, and just hung out for a few days. And it was pretty secluded, which was nice so we could be as loud as we wanted!

well i live in north western wisconsin and most of our campgrounds dont even open up till may. I would look into it but i grew up in a town were toursim was the main income many come from illnoise and iowa to camp and resort vacation here. The town is called Chetek and be perfect for you but it dont start till may. Memorial day is usally the big opening weekend for many camp grounds. Id look into it more seriously maybe you could get premission from a farmer or a land owner if you know anyone. Good luck

If the weather stays nice--you're looking at 50-60 or better. Depending on where you chose, nite temps may drop considerably. Are you talking tent camping or camper? The Northern campgrounds should be deserted this time of year (if open) here is a list:

Many lodges have specials in April--it's a dead time of year!
