My dog is part Chow /part Lab. And when ever I come home she will run around until morning the next day.

Dogs are domestic, and should not be hard to tame.
Unless if you have a puppy to start with, an adult dog that does not have much contact with human might turn out abit aggressive.
What you can do is to get the dog to trust you. Don't be pushy. Slowly gain their trust by giving pats and rubs, and also food. Showing them love and care will slowly tame them down.

You could find a dog trainer and let the trainer train it.
