I'm feeling so very dizzy everytime I sit up, stand up, or bend over to pick something up to the point I feel like I'm going to faint. The room starts to spin and I feel like I'm losing control. It also happens occasionally when I turn to look at something. Even sitting here right now in front of the computer, I'm feeling light-headed. The only time it doesn't feel like I'm going to faint is when I'm lying down. This just started happening today, when I woke up, and has been all day long. Besides a light headache, I don't feel sick at all, just really really dizzy. What could be wrong with me?

I checked my blood pressure, it was 124/85, so I don't think it's that.

I don't think it's low sugar, I've drank about 4 cups of tea in the past couple of hours. It was caffeinated too, so also don't think I'm suffering withdrawals from having no soda today.

Pregnancy? Hmm, doubtful. I was told about a year ago that it may never be possible. I have endometrial hyperplasia, so I rarely have periods anyway and not currently on a cycle. Which also may disinclude anemia. All great answers though. Wish I knew, I feel like crap and about useless since I can't stand or sit for long.

I'm no doctor, and I don't claim to know the answer to your question, but I have a few ideas. I have had past experience with bouts of intermittent lightheadedness, lasting up to two weeks over which I would have acute attacks. It resolved itself without me ever knowing what it was, and has not recurred. A nursing student once told me that lightheadedness always means something bad, but in my experience, it is not always necessarily serious.

Lightheadedness can potentially be indicative of an inadequate oxygen supply to the brain. There are two ways your brain wouldn't be getting enough oxygen - either there is not enough oxygen in your blood, or not enough blood getting to your brain. Oxygen supply is not necessarily the cause of your symptoms.

The inner ear has a lot to do with balance. If you are experiencing dizziness or vertigo when you turn your head, the issue may be with your inner ear.

If this does not resolve itself soon, you may want to see a doctor. Like many symptoms, yours may indicate a very serious condition, or nothing at all. The only way to know is to get checked out.

it might be your sugar, try drinking a glass of ornage juice when this happens and see if you feel better. Or you might be coming down with a cold. This is the way I done when I had my last cold. If this problem does not get better in a day or two then I would go to the dr. and see what the problem might be . Oh by the way could you be pregnant?.

most likely you have
not eaten enough recently
not had enough sleep
are very stressed
need to go for a jog
have been listening to music that is too loud

... I doubt this is something serious but if it gets very bad then demand to see a doctor or call 911, they don't come just for emergencies, if you need to know whats wrong with you fast then they can help (I know I had to call them last week for my father)

Whenever I would stop drinking pop (caffiene) I would get that. I don't know if it was that or I was lacking something. I started taking vitamins and I would feel fine. Maybe try that or a better nutritional diet. If you think it's something more serious, see a doctor.

You may be anemic and have low iron levels in your blood. Are you taking a daily vitamin? I would suggest have your blood tested. Low iron levels can cause dizziness and weakness.

you might be dehydrated... this happens when you do not drink enough, dizzyness and you feel like your going to black out..it might be something else but drink some fluids and see if that helps. Also when you get up get up, slowly and not as fast so that your blood presure will not change to fast in your body.

This can be a LOT of different things, so make an appointment with your doctor.

Dehydration can cause this, so can a bad cold or flu.

It may be someting that simple, but have it checked.

You need to see a doctor . It may be a heart problem or an inner ear problem.

Dont drive yourself , get someone to take you .
