shows affection in a much calmer and quieter way. My parakeet is a wonderful, active, fun-loving female parakeet who mothers her plastic birdies in her cage. She even spits up seed that she has eaten and attempts to feed this plastic birdie. She kisses it, rubs her face on its face, etc If i attempt to touch or clean this birdie she comes screeching into her cage to see what i am doing. Do I have a problem?

I also have a Cockatiel who is sweet and gentle that my parakeet annoys. such as: following it around, boinks him in the side, teases him, eats his treats, etc. is this ok behavior?

I think your parakeet is way to hippier. And your cocktail feels really sad you should get another one to make them friends.

Parakeets are the best! Regurtitating food is a sign that he thinks the object is its mate or lover.
