Lenders want to see that you have 2 years of a continuous job history. It doesn't have to be at the same job, per se.
If there are a lot of job changes w/in the past two years, the lenders want to see that your moves were either to get a better job or that you made a lateral job move - they want to make sure that you didn't go backwards.

There are actually no proof mortgages out there, meaning you don't even have to show them a W2 in order to qualify. Only a mortgage broker or banker can help you there, but I would say you don't need to worry about the length of time you've been employed.
Of course, they might want some more information, should you not qualify for the no documentation loan, but then that's another story, and someone else might be able to help you there - I personally don't know that...
Good luck with your new home!

Not necessarily if you were a student and are now working less 2 years on the job they usually won't penalize you for that, also if you have been in the same line of work consistently for a period of years then you stand a better chance.

No they usually only want about 6 months steady on your job. They will ask for the last two years of employment. It looks better if they are within the same field. Good luck

Not necessarily. Both times we moved, we'd just started jobs in our new city. We did have a work history of a few years, though.
