i've been a stay at home mom for the entire year of 2006 while my fiance supports me and our child. Can he claim me and our daughter as dependents on his tax return?

Yes, he can claim you both on his tax return as dependents, and by filing as a head of household, his tax burden will reduce more.

If the child is his biological child he can file as head of household with the child as a qualified child. If he is paying more than half of your support and you lived in his house all year he can also take you as a dependent. If the child is not his biological child he can not take the child and would file as single. He still can claim you as a dependent under the above circumstances.

Yes he can. He can either file as head of household or you can file married filing jointly. The only thing is if you file married filing jointly you are considered married by the irs so if you did not stay together you would have to file married filing separte or have to get a divorce.

He can claim you if you've lived with him all year, he provided more than half of your support, and you made less than $3300 gross income, so sounds like he can.

You say "and OUR daughter" - if she is his biological daughter, then yes, he can claim her too. If he's not the biological father, then no.

yes he can and this case WILL qualify for head of household. Congrats you are the first in about 150 wannabees to get that status. But once you get married then its married filing jointly.
