ah sea uh

But that's not fair, because I speak a little bit of Arabic and I know at least 3 different people with that name. Some other spellings I've seen: Asia, Aciya, can't actually remember any more. Personally, I like the Aciya spelling, but that might be because she was my friend, whereas the person I knew who spelled it 'Asiya' was a teacher who called my parents nearly every other class and attempted to suspend me on the second to last day of school. With Asia, I think people would just prounounce it like the country.

I think a lot of people are going to confuse it with Asia the continent, especially as I have heard Asia used as a girl's name. However, it's a beautiful name, and easy to pronounce once corrected, so go for it!

Hello Bismilla, it depends where you go with your name.In Finland we would pronounce it ah-see y-ah and it resembles the Finnish word for thing/matter= asia, a totally neutral word but never a name.(The continent Asia is Aasia in Finnish with a long aah in the beginning)
So -where do you want to use your name -it depends!

[Aah - see - yaah] I like the name Asiya! I think you really are a very caring father. How many fathers would want to make sure his child's name is perfect. Good job with your daddy work. I bet ur child would be proud of you.
