You're always better served to keep your feet close to the ground and not turn your back on an opponent.

These types of flashy moves should be reserved for demonstrations only, because in a real life situation they leave you in a vulnerable position with your opponent.

If you are wanting to learn them for tournaments or for demonstrations, then your teacher should help you to learn them.

There is no real secret to performing them, you just try it and keep practicing it until you can perform it correctly.

Well the exact method really depends on the style or art your study is in..however most of the arts in these types of technique moves are not extremely different.
In my studies I have seen the following..assuming your fight stance and for the record in chinese TaiKwon and Japanese the jumping reverse round house was used to help villiagers take a mounted warrior off his horse. your kick leg like a standard roundhouse is back but not to the degree as if fighting an opponet your stance will be tighter to allow jump..once you have sufficient air borne..the kick is a combination of spinning arching your torso low and your kick leg is a full higher snapp that actually carries the body around to finish the kick now in some arts your torso is tilted fully down this was used to shield the head and body from sword attack..the level torso was used to eye your target more effeciently in other cultures..your finish will depend on this as well..in Japan the moveended with the kick leaving you facing the point of your attackers origin..while in chinese you face your attacker but your landing is a crouch with kick leg extended out like a hurdle strecth but your rear end is off the ground in fact you are on your heel and foot. hope you can see it..if not I would look up in your search engine early chinses Japanese wars ..or simply some of the styles or Masters who are grand masters hope that helps.. If you go to link below there is a mini clip of the kick both jump and sweep version.. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reverse_roundhouse_kick

My favourite and what I take into account to be my exact transfer is my Lateral Drop. I act like I desire to do a further throw (like a Suplex) I pummel out and in of double Underhooks and Overhooks till I get an Over and Underhook. Then if I'm hooked up I take a small step with the equal foot as my underhook to their closest leg, slash my stages, and ship them flying ;P Great transfer for any individual occupied with wrestling or grappling.

It would serve you better to focus on more conventional low blocking and trapping kicks so that there is no danger of someone compromising your posture and throwing you or while you fly in the air helpless and without proper structure.
