Talk to her privately and be as gentle and honest as you can be. She has probably already thought about it or figured it out, ya know we Mom's aren't as dumb as we look. Good luck.

Try what my brother did, they went out for a nice lunch and on the way home (he was driving) he said "Mom, you may of known this already and it has taken me a long time to really figure it out, I'm gay". Wait for a few seconds if she doesn't say anything tell her "I love you mom and I hope you will always love me as your son, I have not changed, I am who I've always been. " Hopefully she will respond with a loving answer and believe me she does love you and it's unsettling at first but she will except it as normal, soon.

Dude just do it.What is really important is that you are true to yourself. You need to be your priority. However do take her feelings into consideration and do it in private. And be sure you have some time to allow her to process it[meaning don't blurt out I'm gay at the dinner table and then leave] Good luck.

NO. She will get upset with you. She might say that you are not her child.
