in a few days i am going on holiday and i want to take some hash with me. The amount is minimal like 20 pounds odd(2-3 grams at the best).I am not really worried about dogs as i will pack it in a perfume bottle which will make it imposible to smell but would the xrays be able to detect it.just for information i am talking about a UK airport. Anyone know what eacly the law is?

X rays don't detect that sort of thing, but the drug sniffing dogs will be able to, even if it's in a sealed bottle. You seem to have your units mixed up - 20 pounds is a lot different from 2-3 grams. One pound is over 450 grams. Don't fool with this - the law in Britain is pretty strict, so plan for a stay in the local jail at least for one night, then a court case, then deportation. Enjoy your holiday!

Yes, the X-ray machines can and will spot individual tablets and packages, however few you have. If you just mean residue, then no they can't, but the sniffer dogs can. And if you get stopped by the officials they will take swabs of you and your luggage and put the swabs into a drug residue chemical detector which WILL positively identify the drugs.

The xray no, but the dogs yes . . .
People have tried better than the perfume trick and lost . . .
I'd have the lawyer and bond $$$$ ready if I were you.
