Yes it can. Usually Iron. Eat more red meat or take a multivitamin.

I crave ice, and I did a search online and found out it is a iron
deficiency. Hope that helps :-)

It can mean an iron deficiency. Eating things that are not considered nutritious, like ice, pain, clay is call PICA.

pica...ive had that i had it so intense once i tried to eat glass cut my throat and tounge i drink ensure every day to keep it away
