I was completely bored at mine, the songs sucked and the decorations were stupid. The only reason I went was for my 'boyfriend' at the time, who's now my husband.

I only went to my prom. I skipped all the other dances and the graduation. I truly don't feel that I missed anything.

I've never gone to any, even when boys offered to pay for my dress!! I was never into them, either, and here I am- 36 years old and I don't regret it one bit!! Do what YOU want to... don't do things just cuz everyone "is doing it". Let them have their fun. Everyone is into their own thing. You don't have to be into dances, and stuff.

yeah go it's a great night and you will have fun don't go spending a stack on a dress i tbelieve mine cost me $80 from tightrope seperate top to skirt but i still have it and i have worn it to weddings and stuff

its not really about the dance. its about hanging out with your friend and getting all dressed up. its about friends. my sister hates music and dancing, she went to winter formal with all her friends and had the best time. she loved it
