well they say to show a guy that you're interested is to use touch, and eye contact and to be near him and all that. Well whenever I get around the guy I like I do the complete opposite, I don't touch him, or even try to hug him because I don't want him to think I'm weird. I look away when we make eye contact because I don't want him to catch me staring (but you're supposed to hold eye contact for a few seconds right?) so what's the deal.

Are you the shy type? I know a lot of people don't like to make eye contact at all but that is a good way to hint at the guy that you like them. When you talk to him, try and act like you're calm because if you're not looking at him, he might get the wrong impression that you're not interested. Try short glances at him first and try to catch his eye- if you know he's looking at you, you want that moment where you catch each other's attention because it's a moment where you connect and he might figure out that you like him. Just don't confuse a glance with a stare! ;o)

Wow, you reminded me of myself when i was in high school. I did the exact same thing. And I will tell you now, if you like him, do SOMETHING about it soon.
I liked this guy for 4 years in high school, and i know he liked me, but i did the same thing, every time we made eye contact, i quickly looked the other way. If i passed him in the hall, I pretended i didn't see him. He crank called me once, picked up the phone said hello a few times, then heard his little brother on the other end yelling for him to hang up the phone, and instead of taking that opportunity to start talking with him, i hung up the phone. We graduated and went our own ways.
That was 14 years ago, and i still regret it. So, if you like him go for it. What is the worst thing that can happen? He says no, and you con't on being friends.

sounds like you are shy and alittle low on self esteem. you forget all that and just be nice. talk about stuff he likes or movies you just saw. laugh and just enjoy his company. no reason to touch or be flirty or any of that. guys like girls that make them feel at ease by being at ease themselves. Dont be to easy to catch. You should always make eye contact when talking to anyone. otherwise they may think you are lying or not interested. best way to start a conversion is to ask them bout themselves. well good luck and dont be too easy

Yes you are. I've never approached a guy, but I've made the signs so that he knows I like him. I smile, get close, flirt, but not slutty throw myself at him type of thing. If he looks back, then I keep looking, and smile. Depending on the setting I would pretend to be busy somehow. Or if he can't see you, stand close to him, I don't mean like creepy close, more like next to him and maybe bump into him, if he hasn't seen you. If that doesn't work and you have the galls, introduce yourself. You know what happens next......

I think guys like the confident type, so be flirty and have fun. If he thinks your weird, so be it, and his loss if he can't figure things out.

I know i do it, i don't know about any one else. i'm pretty sure it's normal. i just didn't want them to think i was some weirdo who couldn't keep my eyes off them! (but of course they don't think that) so seriously, i wouldn't worry about it, he'll be flattered!
