Does anybody know of a good freeware 3-D rendering program that is beginner friendly?

Before I invest money,I would like to see if it would be worth my time and effort and if I actually have enough interest.

Both of those programs (blender and upsketch) are totally free, and have some basic usability, and good for getting the feel of 3D programs.

However, something you might not be aware of is that Maya has a fully functional, unlimited, free "personal learning edition" available to people who want to learn their program. It is free for noncommercial use only, and can be found at:

I havent tried to use it yet, but I have a 12 year old friend who does.
