she is a good friend of mine and I have discovered that my feelings for her are stronger than with other friends of mine. She is great. I find myself searching for ecards but right before I send the one that is just thinking of you I look through theselection of cards that say much more...but I can't say because I am a woman myself. I just wish I could share this love burning in my heart...but I can't so instead I find myself writing the same question here 10 different ways. She is straight and I don't think there is a chance...so how do I find a way to smother the love within me for her??

Smothering love is impossible. Liking a straight one is also impossible. It sucks. Been there, felt that.

You'll eventually find someone who you know you can be with. I know it's hard to be around someone you like a lot and can't tell. I know it's hard to keep that love from popping up, but if you really think there isn't a chance, it may not be worth risking it.

I would simply try to remind yourself that she's just a friend, and content yourself with looking for another to share your life with. It'll happen one day, and your feelings for your friend will one day disappear.

Never smother the love you feel.

find a flaw about her.... exagerate it out of proportion... hell... thats the way i killed my last relationship...... rofl. but, yeh... it definately isnt going to work.... so... i advise that you exagerate a flaw about her, and kill the feelings you have for her. and, yes, she does have flaws.... you just have to let your mind make them personal to you, and get emotional........ it isnt too easy, but its possible.

however, if i was to play the devils advocate, and advise you on what to do if you didnt wanna do that..... you could always just tell her how you feel in a "non hitting on her" type way..... then, you know for sure if you would have a chance with her or not. and how old are you, btw? cause, who knows, this girl you like may acctually be bi, or bi curious.....
