The instructions on how a man should treat his wife are clearly stated in the Bible, he should honor her and treat her as not only an equal, but as a precious gift, and more, you ladies are to be loved as Christ loves us, as we (the church) are to be His Bride

The success of a husband is not measured by the physical and financial trappings of his family. The true measure of a man/husband is the worth he contributes to the world. Through his own works and deeds and through the contributions of those that he has influenced; his children and perhaps even his spouse.

The way Scripture says it - "Husbands, love your wives as Christ loved the Church". Christ loved the Church by placing the Church's needs before His own, and by sacrificing His own life for the good of the Church. A husband who treats his wife that way is a successful husband. One who doesn't is a failure, even if he makes a fortune in his occupation.

I think the success of a husband can be measured by the success and well-being of his wife.

It will be measured on how well he was the head of the family, like Christ is the head of the church.
If the male does NOT instill in his family the importance of following God, then he will measure low on the scale. I pity the man that does not instill the importance of God in his family.
Its not how strong he is physically nor how successful he is in business. Neither of those count here.

A successful husband is one that is measured by the size of his heart, the depth of his love, the strength of his virtue and the fathomlessness of his kindness and patience. Everything else is valueless.

I think ...
A man's success can be measured by what he leaves in the world.
For example, does he leave three maladjusted, impoverished, greedy alcoholic adult children?
Or are his children kind members of their communities, who give more then they take?
Those things measure the success of a husband.

By how he relates to God. Because a man who loves the Lord and is obedient will want the best for his family, to be loyal and loving through Christ. A man who doesnt care about God will not care if he sins but try to hide his sins and keep adding to his sins.
