probably soon, but sometimes it can be weeks. all depends on the girl. The real sign is the mood swings and/or pms. those are what will tell you its coming, and its coming fast. Until then, discharge is nothing. Girls can do that up to a month before starting.

I would say pretty soon, but dont push this, kids have enough pressure on them to grow up, why would you be so concerned with when her period is going to start, just let it happen when it does. We tend to raise our children to fast these days. (Hence teen sex/pregnancy, drug use and gang affiliation) I know this is making a big deal out of your question but I think it is this general attitude that can contribute to this sort of thing.
