You would need to have a BS or BS degree and Graduate from a Law School.

Law Clerks are all graduates of Law School.

Go to UCLA for your BS degree and then Stanford for your Law Degree.

Stanford has the highest rated law school in cali.

PS. and make sure you graduate in the top 10% of your Law School class, those are the students who receive clerkships.

Typically law firms, judges and public agencies take in law clerks who are either in law school or have a law degree, or have been practicing law for awhile.

Try going to law school. That's where you have the best chance.

Most law schools require an undergraduate degree, like a Bachelor's degree before admission.

Try UCLA, Stanford, UC Berkley, Loyola. There are so many in California you can barely swing a dead cat without hitting one.

Figure it this way though, you better have a really good GPA if you want a good clerking position. Otherwise you'll find yourself second-fiddle in municipal court stamping and filing files.

I worked for the court system in my county for over 26 years (Michigan) and the law clerks were 2nd and 3rd year law students. Meaning they had taken 4 years of college and most of them had a Bachelor of Science Degree and then went on to Law School to become lawyers and applied for the job of law clerk with the various judges in our court system.

I don't know what kind of law clerk you are asking about! Law clerks have a degree in law!

In other words, a JD! they have to be lawyers!
