The Caste system prevalent in India is never supported by any scripture of the Hindus. It is a social corruption that grew when people became more and more materialistic and were driven away from their living in accordance with the Hindu ideals. Even the Manusmirti where the existence of castes has been sought to be justified has been manipulated by one Pushyamitra Shringa, the Prime Minister in the Court of King Brihadutta in 181 B.C.

In past, till much after the emergence of Buddha in Indian scene the caste system was there as an economic measure to derive the best out of each for the best of the society. It was the excellence that an individual was to contribute to the society. This concept has been borrowed by Plato in his theory of Ideal State in the book entitled 'The Republic'.

No philosophy can justify inequality according to ones birth, among human beings . Hinduism is famous for high ideals so far as its rich philosophy is concerned by which, even till these days the whole mankind is benefited. How can a system like casteism be justified.

It is a corruption of an economic system which had earlier benefited the society, but to-day it has proved out dated. Hence, it must go.

Hinduism is not a religion. It is a culture, custom, tradition, rite and ritual. It divided humanity in 4 categories (varnas) and thousands of castes therein; and others are Untouchables, worst and dirtiest than animals. A Hindu always belongs to his caste. No Hindu can be without a caste. Castes system still continues and will defintely continue always, eradication is impossible. It is not the old culture which can be vanished, it is the present & future culture also. Castes are quite unchangeable. Every student (school, college, university) and every Govt. job seeker has to mention his caste in the application form or else it will be rejected. Marriages are always performed in the same caste & sub-caste of Hindus. Castes Certificates are issued by the Govt. departments & officials.

ALL THE INDIAN CENTRAL AND STATE GOVERNMENTS' RULES, LAWS, ACTS, notifications, orders, directions, clarifications, explanations and ALL THE SUPREME COURT'S & HIGH COURTS' JUDGEMENTS ::: ALWAYS CONFIRMED THAT HINDUS' CASTES CAN NEVER BE CHANGED.
If possible, one from higher caste would have changed to some lower caste to avail of the government aids, benefits, subsidies, free house & house sites, free lands, interest free loans, free education, free hostels and other facilities given to lower caste people by the Government..

The Caste system is a disease in Hindu society which must go. The so called upper caste Hindus must change their attitude to wards their fellow being and treat them as their equal. The reservation policy of the government is a factor that is perpatuating the caste system. Many Christian converts are coming back to the fold of Hindus to get those benefits in India.

It is the natural tendency of man to think he is superior to his fellow being. In Islam there is no caste system. We have to different ideological groups as Shias & Sunnis. That is all. Others mingle and get married to each other. Makkah & Madina where all muslims gather is a proof for this. In India a selfish group called Upper Caste made this caste system for their own benefits. Lot of atrocities were made in the past using this caste system. In South India just recently a low caste hindu was made eat the human excreta by force. It is corruption in the society. With the advent of Islam it is slowly getting eradicated. Soon it will be erased fully. To know about Hinduism we should refer to the basics of the religion, Vedas etc. Donot listen to the upper caste leaders to know about the religion. Like how every muslim is having access to Quran, each Hindu should be given access to the Vedas & Scriptures.

Hinduism scriptures (veda, upanishadas & Gita) do not talk about Caste System

It was Manu smiriti which first told - men would be divided into four types The priests, warriors, businessmen and workers.

And this division of labour is alll over the world in all coutnries and religions

The caste system became a social evil when people started linking caste with birth

hinduism is so old, and such misunderstanding is forgiveable, as there is no central authority (like vatican) to clear doubts of people.

Caste as per birth is against Manu-smirity..

In present day India, not even hindus, all other religions also practice caste system.... newly converted christians and muslims are still seen as dalil by muslims and christians and they are not allowed to marry higher caste converted christians and muslims

Caste system is not limited to Hindus in India. Christians and Muslims in India also have a form of the caste system. The caste system was brought to India by the Aryans, and was used as a means of subjugating the indigenous peoples.
