I am looking for an elegant wedding headband and NOT a TIARA! I hate tieras. I am wearing my hair half up and half down with a lace veil. I want something elegant. My dress is lace.

First -- I say bridal specialty stores would be a LAST RESORT, unless you want to spend a grip! ;-)
I would recommend checking out the Bridal sections of some "crafty" stores (not sure if they have these where you are, but in Ohio we got 'em). Michael's & Hobby Lobby are GREAT for lower cost alternatives to what Bridal shops have.
For example -- the headpiece I wanted from *****'s Bridal was $150! I found one at Michael's that was ALMOST exactly like it for $29.99! It's gorgeous, and the difference was so minor that I could not justify the extra $120.
If you check out these stores and don't find anything, then go online and search, search, search! But I am a girl who like to see things "live" when it comes to my wedding....and I LOVE a bargain, too =)!
