ridiculous. I've gotten bitten by other peoples pets all the time, the appologized and that was enough for me. Why would anybody sue, and win, because of that?! And it's his sister, too! What a real jerk.

That is totally absurd! Hmmmm...think I'll call my brother right now and have him train his cat to bite the hell out of me... I could sure use $122,400. I was bitten by my neighbor's dog and incurred about $1500 worth of medical bills and received a settlement for slightly above that amount... Man, I must have had a crappy attorney!

I heard about that crap on the radio. How stupid was this guy that he didn't immediately clean the wound and keep it that way to begin with? It's really his own fault for letting it get that way. It would have been simple for him to go to the doctor and get some flippin antibiotics and just have his sister pay for it, rather than to sue for an exorbanant amount of money over something stupid. Unless the cat was a complete psycho it wouldn't have bit him unless provoked to being with. He's just one more lawsuit happy idiot!

That is a bit out there, sueing your family is a bit rough! But if the cat did damage then I guess it's fair enough, people are expected to control their dogs to ensure they don't harm anyone but not their cats. Some cats can do a bit of damage. Wonder if the cat was declawed?

I'm mad and it's a total fiasco. Cats bite because they're playing or they're love bites. What a jerk and a loser. And from his sister! The judge who let that pass should be removed. What an idiot. What's the world come to?

It helps to read the whole story:
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/17677355/
He tried to get compensation for his medical bills through his sister's insurance company. When they wouldn't pay for his injuries (which required hospitalization) he felt he had to sue to get the money. Is the total amount excessive? Probably, but perhaps the insurance company will be more likely to settle in the future rather than requiring an expensive legal battle.

He sued his sister about a cat bite. If there was a jury, what a bunch of dumbasses. And what kind of brother sues his sister over a cat bite. That must have been a mutant cat.

Melissa said it.
The only other possibility she didn't mention is if perhaps they are in cahoots with some sort of scam. Is the sister paying the money or is insurance paying it?
We have lost our minds in our courts. People win hundreds of thousands of dollars for nothing, while legitimate cases are thrown out on technicalities.

technically it was his sisters falt most likely, the cat biting reflects on how he was brought up but the amount of money is rediculous, also cat bites can actually be more painful than a dog bite

This is pretty ludicrous. I don't understand why his medical insurance wouldn't cover it. The loser probably didn't have any insurance and I'm also guessing he and his sister are both in on this. Ugh..
