i say bobby flay because hes the most real and entertaining. plus anyone who can drop out of high school, and then get their own show on the food network is amazing

Rachel Ray by her own addmission is not a chef but she is an excellent cook, and a very personalble person. She is very entertaining an really enjoys what she does. She is the person she is in person and on TV. She makes mistakes and takes then in stride like a real person.

I'd have to say Flay - he used to just do the whole chipotle tex mex thing - but lately he seems to be branching out in his flavor profiles. Emeril is a great entertainer - but he sticks to regional fare for the most part. Rachel - not a chef, but full of helpful hints for the home cook
I agree with the guy about Mario Batali - his food makes me drool

As far as chefs go, I'd say No doubt Bobby Flay. Emeril is a good entertainer and he knows what he is talking about but straight skill, Bobby has it. I'm not even going to say anything about Rachel Ray, She should go back to the grocery store she started in. But you should add Anthony Bourdain on that list. and he'd smoke all em up.

Emeril and Bobby Flay are one trick ponies. They use the same seasonings in everything.
Rachel Ray . . . I used to like her, and I liked how varied her dishes were . . . but now she's just annoying.
Of course, this is based on what I've seen of them. If I tasted their meals, it'd be an entirely different story.

There isn't much that Bobby Flay makes that doesn't make me drool. Mario Battali's food always looks/sounds awesome, too. I've never tried cooking anything from their cookbooks, so how they translate to my reality, I don't know, but if I were plunked down in the middle of, say, "Iron Chef America," I would be more than happy to eat what was served me.
Emeril...just kind of annoying. Ditto Rachel Ray.

Rachael Ray isn't a chef, she's just a cook. Emeril got kicked out of Johnson and Wales and only has an honorary degree in culinary arts. Bobby's a pretty good chef, but I don't think any of them are that great. Gordon Ramsey is a great chef, and so is Morimoto (the one on Iron Chef). Cat Cora's a good chef too, even if she doesn't win a lot of her battles.

Well I like Emeril and Bobby flay together. did you see that episode on Emeril they're the most entertaining. Rachel Ray is fake anyone can make chips and salsa plus she's too skinny to be a real chef. not that bobby is real heavy but look at all the other real chef's they actually look like they eat

what? just because he dropped out of school doesn't mean he didn't go to cullinary school! lol rach is the best! I love her and her recipies. but try bobby flay's in AC the food was bangin. but her stuff is easy and delic!

I have to agree with your statement about bobby although as for raw cooking talent i have to go with Emeril he is amazing I use his book religiously when cooking southern food......
