I'll will be going on a company sponsored recreational trip to a beach resort this May. Me and my co-workers and their families will be hanging out around the resort pool and beach. I know speedos (bikini and briefs) are out as would even a square-cut or short-short trunks (70's style). How do any of you believe jammers would be received? Or should I avoid getting in the water and just forget about swimming altogether since I hate trying to swim in long baggy trousers?
And just in case some of you don't know, jammers are nylon-lycra swim trunks with a 8 to 12 inch inseam but not baggy. Kind of like a longer style squarecut speedo suit.

I guess want I want is opinions of how wearing jammers will be received and viewed by others, not personal opinions. Normally I would prefer to wear a brief style swimsuit but in American culture the "shock" value would be too much. Would jammers, though not the "norm", would it cause the same or near the same as wearing a briefer no legged swimsuit?
