I seriously think I'm retarded and some people actually tell me that too.
My cusin thinks that I can't cook and I'm not a smart person, the only reason why I'm going to get a man is for my looks.
I just want people to know that I'm intelligant and after they know I'm smart, they can see my face if they want to.
Which would you choose looks or brains?

Brains, but first impressions are looks. Those 30 seconds of visual inspection, when you meet a stranger or have a job interview. They look at the overall how you look. Start a conversation with someone...that may help.

Looks are nice but looks are only skin deep and skin ages as the years pass. Intelligence and personality are much more important. If someone judges you by your looks alone then they're very shallow. It's what's inside that counts. And if people are calling you retarded I have to wonder what kinds of friends they are. Said occasionally, jokingly, is acceptable. But if it's meant to put you down, well, with friends like that, who needs enemies?!

Cooking Doesnot make the person smart, what makes you is your thinking and ideas and approach towards life. All the beautiful persons are never smart but all the smart ones are not beautiful. I wiil chose brain over looks.

I think you should find some self esteem sweetie!!! Courage, and confidence and what you need.... You may have a cute face but if you think so low of yourself on the inside then it show's on the outside and that my darling creates a problem because that is when you get into guys using you for what you look like and not what you have on the inside!!!! Love yourself and display a strong sense of confidence and stop coming off as someone who only has looks going for them!!! You need to reinvent yourself by changing how you come off to others from the inside point of view!!!

A well mix of both is the perfect combo. Looks are only for getting laid, brains and personality is the stuff that make another person love you.

i mostly care for the person's personality, the way the person acts, honesty, caring, etc. i care for these over looks because i want to have a long-lasting relationship and not just playing around. but yea, i care for brains more.

I don't think we are given that choice but I do think we can improve both. For example, you can use 'check spelling' on here and when a word is spelled wrong you can see what you did wrong and learn not to make that same error over and over.
