There is no good answer to your question, because it happens to everyone and anyone. Most people just don't choose to think too much about it while you do. Generally speaking, many would fear the unexpected and uncertain - death certainly fits into that category, so you are normal.
Try making plans about what will happen if you are no longer arond. That way, you will feel more at ease about the days when you leave your kids eventually, and cope better with your thoughts.

It's the fear of the unknown. We like to be able to control as much as we can in our life, but there's no way we can control when we die (besides living healthy, but I'm speaking in the long run). As a mom, you think about how your actions will affect your kids on a daily basis. Because you love them, you don't want them to be without you until they're able to cope. That's a natural feeling. Not being able to guarantee you will be there causes fear and anxiety. I think if we really think about it, we also fear how we will die. Everyone wants death to be swift and painless, but there's no guarantee of that either!
All you can do is make the most of each day. Have things in order so if something should happen to you, your kids will be taken care of. We made a will and set up the guardianship for our kids when they were little, to give us peace of mind. Now they are grown, we're older and still kicking, and in fact all our parents are still going strong too. :)

This is a question and fear many of us face. I think we're afraid of death because it's something that's unknown. I know that's why I'm so afraid. I don't know what it's going to be like, and I don't want to think of my friends and family going on without me.
It's okay to be afriad of this though. There's logical reasons to be afriad of it, and you just have to assure yourself that if something does happen to you before your children are grown, that they will be in good hands, and if you believe in angels, that you'll be there watching them and guiding them that way.

Fear of death is very common. After all, the will to live is hard-wired into us. Since we all know we will one day die, see if you can focus on your life now and appreciate it as much as possible for as long as you have it.
