ok my mother was diagnosed with a cat allergy about 20 years ago how do we know if shes still allergic?

She could have skin testing done to confirm the allergy; but most reasonable thing would be to talk to her dr.

She needs to go get tested by a allergist and most likely she would be still allergic and would be put on a medication if she had a reaction.

Unless her allgery was really severe, it would be cheaper to expose her to a cat to see if she has a reaction. If her allergy was severe I would not try it.
