The color of the shell is determined by the breed of the hen. The only difference between white and brown eggs is the color - there is no difference in flavor or nutritional value.

i know that when i buy eggs at the store they are white and when they are from a farm they are brown. I have heard that the brown eggs taste better and are more nutritious. They do look different when you crack them. the brown eggs have richer color in the yolks than white eggs.

White eggs would have been white chickens, brown eggs brown chickens, Thats how it usually works on my uncles farm not always but usually. They are all the same on the inside. Whites clear , with yellow yolk. Tastes the same.

White eggs have been 'bleached' by chemicals but brown eggs have not. So the brown eggs are actually better for you.

just the color, store bought eggs come from farms that use only feed that will produce white eggs that is because it is more appealing to the consumer. brown eggs are fine, i have eaten brown eggs from the farm many times

Just the colour...the nutritional value is the same...Depends on the colour of the hen that lays the egg....Sherry N
