Straightening your hair shouldn't affect the smell, unless you are burning it, in which case YIKES! Get a heat protectant!! The smell in your hair generally comes from your conditioner, so find one with a scent you enjoy, and if possible, find a product that comes from the same line to get more out of the scent. Don't use perfume or anything like that, as the alcohols in the product will dry your hair out! And if the bad smell (or lack of nice smell) comes from you not washing your hair everyday --don't feel bad, many hair-straighteners don't!-- you may consider purchasing a "dry shampoo" to keep your hair clean during the days you are not washing it, without having to straighten it all over again!
GOOD LUCK!!

Never put heat on your hair without something to protect it. Try them out I guess. I have used regular smoothing creams you can buy at like walgreens, or sprays too. Herbal essence always smells nice. If you have a conditionder that smells really good, they smell will usually stay in your hair. Their Shampoos and Conditioners smell really nice, and they last in my hair for the two days I keep it straight

I use ion silk drops and Paul Mitchell from time to time it smells great. If you quit using the heat protectant products it won't really make a difference.

i use two methods because yeah , who likes smelling like burning haha . the first is spray my hair with unscented hair oil to protect it from the alcohol in the perfume then spray it with perfume AFTER i straighten my hair , but for before during and after , the second method i use is Mizani Shyne , yeah i hate that 'y' too , i bought it from my hair dresser for 7 bucks ,i think yo ucan only buy it from salons because it says on the top "for salon resale only" but check the website , eitherway it smells good (boy approved) and it makes my hair shiny and bouncy without a heavy oily buildup . best of luck and happy not smelling like buring :P

after u straighten ur hair or curl it, spritz a bit of perfume in ur hair nd shake ur hair around!
ur hair absorbs the scent and it keeps it all day so u wont lose the smell!
not only will ur hair make ur whole body smell good, it'll cover up that burned smell!

you % a ceramic straightener (no longer ceramic lined, yet ceramic via and throughout). you will additionally % some form of spray in warmth guard. additionally, some straighteners enable you to coach down the temperature.
