all of my friends think the boy i like is nerdy and weird and immature for his age and i like him wat should i do i dont want to be made fun of by these other kids who make up rumors about everyone and i know just to ignore them but they get around and my friends always believe them and i know they wouldnt be good friends then but i cnat dump them now its to late to find new ones

honey! if you like this boy than follow your heart and do what ever you want. live your life the way you want to. if your friends say that the person that you like is weird and immature than are they really your friends? dont even listen to them! you only have one life so go ahead and follow your heart and dreams!!!

If he really were all the thinks they say would you like him like you do? Ever consider they may be jealous---besides if really your friends would be happy for you being happy with the boy. Since you lack the courage to dump these not so nice people Laugh it off when they ay stuff since you already know not true why should it even bother you. Laught it off but at the same time stick up for him tell in a easy manner that they do not really know him fo not like that but is-then tell what he is like. Besides these types of shallow people do not/never make lasting friends anyway and guarantee the day will come whn they'll drop you.Now suppose you drop this nice boy you really like for those Nothings you will end up with Nothing-always wondering about the boy. You're taking what these people,your friends etc say too serious for you care too much what other people think.I myself would not waste my time with such shallow people but keep the boy-join a club,volunteer at a hospital,Nursing Home etc go talk to your School Counselor about these shallow empty people who in order to fill their emptiness need to ,feed on gossip ,lies about others for obvious cannot tolerate others being happy, then ask if can recommend clubs,activities you and perhaps this boy can get involved in and along the way meet some worthy people,make worth having friends.

It's never, never to late to find better friends. If they are willing to believe rumors about you, than it shows how gullible and superficial they are. When I was in middle school I had a group of friends like that and we all ended up hurting each other. It was really regretful and now we can't even look at each other. We had just cut each other down like animals...it was brutal and if you went through that...I'm afraid something similar might happen.
Anyway...about the guy. Nerdy/weird/immature guys can be fine...even if there are rumors. If you're willing to give up on him then you don't really like him, but...again your story sounds like a middle school crush and so I hope you wouldn't be that serious. Just remember, people have died for those they love, and if you can't handle a little mocking then don't bother. You will end up hurting him.

Girl, Let Me Tell Ya What!!!!Friends aren't friends unless they support ya in any endeavor that is legal and moral. So ,if ya like / love this boy ,THEN GO FOR HIM AND DARN THE TORPEDOS!!! So to speak . Look at Bill Gates( just one instance) considered a nerd and now one of the richest men in the world!!!That is just to name one

It may seem like it's too late to find new friends now, but that will change in time. Do what you want to do. Don't let the stuck-up, "cool crowd" dictate who you can and can't like. Who cares what they think?
