Uh, no offense, but people still beleive that girls are more fragile and precious than boys. Boys are stubborn and have to learn life by trial an error, but girls are impressionable. You can ask them to do something and they will actually do it. But I actually beleive that it depends on the family, because it was kind of the opposite in my family. But, whatever floats your boat.

I am the oldest of 4 girls. My dad had this theory that with a boy you only had one pecker to worry about, but with girls you had thousands. I wasn't allowed to go out on a date until I was 16, but they eased up on my younger sisters and are now raising there grand kids.

it really depends on the family...in my case, i'm over-protective with all my kids....2 girls & 1 boy...because in the world we live in today....its quite dangerous not only for girls...but also for boys... ;>
